The goddess of wisdom and education, Saraswati, is always shown playing a veena, which is the ancestor of the sitar. So access to true knowledge is associated with music and creativity. She's another form of the very ancient goddess Vach (speech), and is the companion of Brahma (creation), so music is a communication that manifests the concepts of creation in the physical plane. I'd say that's a pretty neat idea.

So, pandit-ji, have a good jam with Saraswati before your next round on the wheel ...

AR - Your post is why I love this forum....

Sifu Bruce Lee once said "Everyone knows something you do not. Learn from them."

I just did.

Can you imagine the collaborative learning effort going on right now as Ravi, Doc Watson, Earl and Dave are sitting down in a jam session that knows no boundaries?

I guess Jerry is leaning on a wall in the back, smoking a Camel, thinking of a good time to join in on that jam.
Boundaries? What are those?

Excellent post AR. I can only ride on Mandos coat-tails with the same sincerity.
